BOOKS, BUBBLES, AND BACK TO SCHOOL
Each year I try to build a "set" that is interactive, lends itself to creativity and fun, works for all ages, and isn't a duplicate of the year before - with some consistent elements (looking at you, Chip the Sockmonkey official mascot). This year I gathered books from all over the place...and then I painted them. I selected a space that would work for all the kids as they ranged from preschool to high school this year. Some even brought personal items to incorporate (so good)! The rain between sessions on day 2 didn't get us down, we moved the set under tree cover and waited it out. We had the best time! Check out a few of each kid below.
As always, we set time aside between sibling sessions to get photos of the kids together. I know the parents look forward to these each year and I'm always happy to snag a few so you don't have to talk your kids into a separate session. This year the kids pulled it OUT. We even had a bit of a MCR Black Parade moment. Here are a couple from each family.
I committed the biggest of all Back 2 School mini session sins this year and I hope the goody bags were good enough the kids forgive me and let me make it up to them in 2026...I forgot the masks at home. I did bring bubbles though...and said goody bags! Check the bonus photos out.
Have an amazing school year. Enjoy all the things that make you happy. Keep laughing. I'll see you next year. With the masks this time!
As always, thank you for trusting me with your kids' photos year after year. It's the biggest compliment and a weekend I look forward to every year.

Dana
