chasing WATERFALLS & apple ORCHARDS
When Journey's dad contacted me and said she'd be in town from Illinois and wanted me to do her senior photos I practically squealed with delight. When she said she wanted backlit orchard, PNW, waterfall vibes I knew EXACTLY what to do for her.
First we met up at Whatcom Falls and took a little hike thru the gorgeous park.
I'd made arrangements for access to the orchards at Bellewood Farm just as the sun was ducking behind the Cascades so we high tailed it over there and meandered thru the rows of apples, met the amazing owners (and their pup), learned about the history of the farm and were given full access as our light was fading. The slugs didn't get us down and the light was sheer perfection, as was Journey.
And since Journey's family added a little sister, we took the opportunity to get some additional photos with her Dad and new baby sister (you've seen the 'rents before, you're not imagining things).
A truly magickal session and a super proud dad? I'll take it every time. See you all very soon, I'm sure.
